Almost 20 per cent of motorists using Lent Rise Road in Burnham on Wednesday last week were breaking the speed limit.
Police officers used speed indicator devices between 1.10-2.10pm to monitor the speed of 278 cars using the road, which has a 30mph speed limit.
A total of 54 cars were caught speeding at more than 35 mph, with the fastest speed recorded 62 mph.
Officers will also be monitoring speeds in Hogfair Lane and Dropmore Road following reports of cars breaking the 30 mph limits.
