Maidenhead United’s home game with Bath City this evening has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

A new date for the fixture will be announced in due course by the club and any tickets purchased for the game with remain valid for the rearranged fixture.

The Magpies had hoped to get the game on and put in an improved performance following Saturday’s 3-0 away defeat at Ebbsfleet United, but the continued poor weather means the York Road pitch remains unplayable.

It’s the second time in a week that York Road has failed a pre-match pitch inspection following the postponement of last week’s mid-week game against AFC Totton.

The club’s fourth ground development workshop will still be taking place at York Road this evening, where the focus will be on Fan Experience.

The drop-in session in the boardroom will take place from 5.30-7.30pm and will be focusing on the fan experience at the club’s proposed new stadium in Braywick Park.

The club has already gathered feedback from three engagement workshops which were held at Desborough Bowling Club last month.

The three sessions at the venue in Green Lane focused on Ground design, Enhancements to Braywick Park and Biodiversity.

The idea of these four sessions is to gauge public opinion on various aspects of the plan and showcase how they might benefit the town and community.

The sessions were held in addition to the extensive engagement the club has had with the council and key stakeholders in the park over its revived plans.

Maidenhead United have also congratulated futsal stars Jack Walsh and Harry Tozer on their call up to the England Futsal squad for Friday’s international clash against Germany.

The Three Lions are set to take on Germany at the Porsche Arena in Stuttgart on Friday (February 6).

The Magpies have also confirmed that striker Jaiden Celestine-Charles has been recalled from his loan spell by parent club Millwall.

The club have thanked Jaiden for his contributions while on loan at York Road.
