Maids knocked off their stride
Maidenhead RFC's promotion hopes were dented on Saturday when they went down 30-22 at mid-table Buckingham.
The unexpected result means that Maids still lead the South West 1 East table, but by just two points.
Amersham & Chiltern are second and High Wycombe third, both within striking distance and with a game in hand on their Berkshire rivals.
Chilts beat Readin Abbey at the weekend while Wycs triumphed in their derby clash at Marlow.
Maids have a week off to lick their wounds before returning on Saturday, March 26 when they entertain old rivals Reading at Braywick.
