Windsor FC's title hopes suffer major hit
Windsor FC's title hopes look to be hanging by a thread as they lost their second successive game in the Combined Counties Premier Division last night (Monday).
Keith Scott's side struggled to get their game going as Wembley left Stag Meadow with a deserved 2-1 success.
The visitors were in fine form throughout and cruised into a 2-0 lead before Michael Chennells pulled one back for Windsor.
But the goal proved to be no more than a consolation as Wembley held on for maximum points.
The defeat comes just two days after Windsor's 15 game unbeaten run in the league came to an end following a shock 2-1 defeat at struggling Chessington & Hook on Saturday.
Scott's team are now 11 points behind leaders Guildford City with a game in hand.
They host Croydon at Stag Meadow on Saturday.
