WATCH: Music video released in memory of DJ Unkar Singh
A talented DJ who died days before his brother's wedding will be remembered with the release of a tribute single.
Unkar Singh, of Warrington Avenue, Slough, died aged 25 on February 15 last year while in India to see brother Aman Singh get married.
The former pupil at Westgate School, in Cippenham Lane, was known to many as DJ Unkz and performed at clubs, weddings and parties across the country for the company he co-founded, Kudos Music, based in Mill Street, Slough.
A year on from his tragic death, older brother Aman, 27, has produced a track in Unkar's memory which features friends and former colleagues including vocalist Dev Dhillon. 'Always In Our Hearts' will be released on Wednesday.
Aman said: "It's been an emotional process, even now it's produced it's still quite emotional. We spent a lot of time making music together and now I've ended up doing something for him, it's a bit surreal.
"Everyone appearing in the promotional video is somehow linked with Unkar and it's quite a big thing."
Aman paid to tribute to the support he has received during the last year from friends and family, who he described as his 'pillars of strength'.
"My brother and myself were two peas in a pod, you could not say Aman without saying Unkar and some referred to us as Amankari," said Aman.
"Although he's gone we're still one and making this track for him was me letting him know that he will never be forgotten."
The track, being released by E3UK and Kudos Music, will be available from iTunes. All proceeds will go to the Child Brain Injury Trust.
