A video has been recorded by Reading rockers Borderline:FIRE for the Red Bull Bedroom Jam 2012.

The band are one of 15 to reach the next round of the competition after success in the Buzz Chart stage, which is determined by how much 'buzz' each act is creating across the web.

Each gets a video filmed in their bedroom, and from these eight bands are then selected to move into the festival round of the competition.

Should Borderline:FIRE get through they would play at Slamdunk, Download, Sonisphere and Hevy Festival, at which stage three of the eight bands will be chosen by a panel of experts.

The climax of the competition would see them perform in a live broadcast from the Red Bull Studios, with the overall champion to be decided by public vote.

The prize up for grabs is two weeks recording time in the Red Bull Studio as well as the chance to join a headline act on tour, and to have a music video produced.

Borderline:FIRE started out in February 2010 and have toured around the country.

The band also feature on the line-up for this year's Penn Festival, taking place in July.
