Bank joins project to support community

A bank is the latest organisation to sign up to support Burnham.

NatWest is the second company to become a community partner as part of a programme set up by Burnham Parish Council to help promote projects in the area.

The bank will run a monthly drop-in centre at Burnham Library, Windsor Lane, giving free independent advice to villagers.

The first session will take place on Tuesday, April 24, and the subject will be budgeting.

Teams from local branches will also visit schools, starting with St Peter's CE Combined School, Minniecroft Road, to decorate and repair buildings.

Neelam Tandon, Natwest's chief executive for Burnham and the surrounding area, said: "It's very important to me, and my teams in the local branches, that we are part of and contribute fully to the communities in which we all live and work."

The first company to sign up was media communications group Polycom.
